Try these on for size....

Porter loves Tessa so much and is always playing with her. The other day he was so excited when he put these on her and was yelling for me to come with the camera. Tessa is such a good sport when it comes to Porter and Carlee, they are always up to something with her. Oh, and on a side note, bottom tooth number two has arrived.

Slippery When Wet....

This is what happens when you get in the bath and then realize that you have to pee and you are not old enough to know that you need to be careful when your bum cheeks are wet!!

The rest of the visit....

We are so sad that La La and Caleb had to go, but we all know that life has to go on. We had such a wonderful visit with them. I had many moments where I would pause and just stop to listen to laughter and the conversations that the kids were having with their aunt and uncle. Caleb was amazing with the kids, he put them to bed every night except one and one night when I came home from Young Women's he had Porter in the bath (I only gave the girls a bath before I left and he recognized, without being told, that Porter still needed one!) Carlee did sucker him into the longest book that we own and he read every page!! Every where we went Caleb carried Tessa giving my left arm and hip a break and La La was always right there ready to hold hands with someone. I think that Andy and I are still recovering from all of the late nights of game hate and milk shakes, but it was so worth it.

Thank you to La La and Caleb for choosing to come here instead of going on a cruise and for giving me a great surprise. We love you both so much.
La La playing Mario Cart with P-man.
Carlee found Lauren's super cute red shoes and couldn't resist trying them on so of course Porter had to get Caleb's shoes, they were in heaven.

All of us in Kirtland in front of the Whitney Store, truly an amazing place. I love that we live so close to Kirtland, I think it is a place that is often over looked and forgotten about.

Tessa May so happy in the back pack.

Caleb and Lauren at NASA.

Playing a game of Balloon Lagoon, we love that game!

A much needed surprise....

Monday afternoon the kids and I had the best surprise ever. I was upstairs with the kids playing in Porter's room when I heard Andy pull in the driveway, we were so excited that he was able to come home in between his morning meeting and his shift at the hospital later that night.

As Andy was walking in the house I could hear him yelling up the stairs to me that we had a visitor. I assumed that it was a third year med student who has come over a few times with her dog. I sat up from feeding Tessa as I heard someone walk in the room and said hi ever so casually until I looked up and saw La La standing in the doorway. My jaw dropped and my head fell into my hands and the tears just started flowing. I was completely shocked obviously and so surprised!!!

I want to say right now that I am so proud of all of Andy's family for keeping the secret, although a few of you were hinting around, I never caught on, and the surprise was a success! I have doubted all of the Coil's for years and the inability to keep a secret (I have good reason) but I am just so proud.

We have been having a great time doing nothing. We have been playing games (Ticket to Ride and Guitar Hero) and talking till the wee hours of the morning. On St. Patti's Day we headed down to Cleveland for the parade, that holiday is huge here, it was crazy. It has just been so much fun. We are all so happy.

Seeing Art and Feeling Out of Place....

Yesterday we decided to go to the .......

It is free admission until May 31st and anything free is right up our ally. As soon as we got there I thought I had stepped onto the set of The Thomas Crown Affair (movie and soundtrack that I totally love). It is a real art gallery with guards everywhere watching your every move. It is a place where you feel afraid to speak out loud about rad some of the pieces were. We got approached by the guards multiple times about having the Kelty backpack in there, we still don't know why. Overall the place is amazing, something I have never seen before and proving to me once more that Cleveland has more to offer than I thought.

This was a wall in the museum that had a picture of what it looked like in 1916, today, and what it will look like 2012 when they are finished with rennovations.

A room in the museum that we clearly did not want to take the kids into although it looked amazing. I love the view through the other side of the glass.

This is the beginning of the Knight exhibit which of course was Porter's favorite part of the museum. The swords and armor are incredible and Andy and I wished we knew where they had been and who's hands they had touched.

(sorry the color in the pics are so off, the museum lighting was amazing for their exhibits but not for pictures, which we were only alowed to take in certain rooms)

Getting Bigger and Growing Longer....

The other night I put the kids in the bath together like always, but this time Tessa was sitting up in the tub instead of laying down, I couldn't believe it. She is so steady and has such a wide base, and I cannot believe that she is 7 moths already, she is just getting so big. Then for some reason, the length of Carlee's hair just shcoked me. It is so long, just about to her waist, she really needs a trim, but I don't want to pay $13 dollars for a hair cut for her and I am so scared to do it myself.

Tessa loves Carlee's Ariel doll that goes in the tub ($5 from Target before x-mas), and I love watching Tessa try to grab the water that goes through the funnel, it's so cute.

Porter got a Transformer shaving kit from Grandma KayLee for Valentines and he loves the comb covering his eye, he feels like a private detective.

Porter doing "witch" hair on Carlee is a bath time ritual, just wouldn't be a bath without it. (she has gum in her mouth in case you were wondering)

Carlee's hair is so long, I love after we blow dry it, it is like silk.

Goobye Growling Gizmo....

So last night we had to say goodbye to Gizmo. He was wonderful excpet for the fact that he did not like Carlee. No matter what the situation, he would growl at her, and it made her feel really bad. He was fine with Porter and Andy, but had issues with Carlee and myself (when I made him get off my bed that had 5 loads of clean laundry all over it). We were sad, but the kids are doing fine which matters the most. We are just going to have to schedule more visits with Apollo, a dog of a 3rd year medical student that Andy is friends with (Apollo has visited with us before). We think we will wait to get a dog after residency, when all of the kids are older, but who knows, we all love animals so much.

Meet Gizmo....

Yesterday, Andy and I did a big no, no, and got our family a dog. His name is Gizmo and he is a two year old Beagle/JR terrier mix. He has a ton of character and is able to keep up with the kids which is great. Andy and I have been looking for a while for a dog that would fit best for our family, one that was clean, happy, playful, house broken, did not jump on the kids, heart-worm negative, and up to date with shots. We think we found all of that with Gizmo and we are currently on a week trial with him.

We found him through this program called LOVE-A-STRAY, one of Andy's patients gave him the card, so we got on their website and there he was. We went to the house where he was living and visited with him and then Andy called to see if we could have him come and stay. So that is where we are now. Our first night with him was great, I have yet to hear him bark. I think my one complaint is that he is not very good at fetch. He wants to play and gets all excited, runs over to the ball........and then that's it, kind of funny. Wish us luck!!!
