Tessa's First Week Home

We have had a crazy first week home. Having Tessa here has been a lot of fun. It is amazing to walk by the bassinet and see her sleeping so peacefully with her mouth wide open, or to walk into the room and see a little pea size ball in the middle of our bed. Thank you so much to Kay Lee for all of the food that we had, thanks to her we ate and had clean clothes. We are all tired, but some how are managing to get through each day. Tuesday morning we all slept in until 9:00 a.m., the latest the kids have ever slept!! I am a little nervous for when Andy starts his next rotation, Emergency Pediatrics in Akron, about an hour away. Having him here so much the past week has been wonderful. Andy truly is the best dad in the whole world.

Happy Birthday Tessa May

Holy cow, I am a mother of three amazing children! I cannot believe how the Lord has blessed me and our little family. Tessa was born on Tuesday July 22nd, she was 8 lbs 3 oz, and 21 inches long. Tessa being born was so incredible, I had no idea I could love her so much. Kay Lee was here to help with Porter and Carlee which we appreciate so much. Porter and Carlee love this little baby so much. I am so pleased with how they have been with her. That does not mean that I have not said 'be soft" or "no, no" five million times. We are all doing well, I cannot believe how good I feel and am moving aorund with having a baby less than one week ago. Thank you so much to everyone who has called, brought us food, and is thinking of us, it truly means so much.

Huge things are happening, including my belly

Well, so many huge things have happened with us the past few months. Here is a brief overview with some photos. First we moved from Utah and living with Andy's parents and we went to Biddeford, Maine for Andy's medical school graduation. That was a crazy trip, almost like it never happened. We had the wonderful opportunity to stay in a house on the beach with Andy's parents. My first morning there I woke up to see Andy out on the beach with the kids and I ate my Honey Nut Cheerios on the the porch watching the waves crash. While there we went shopping, closed on our house, ate lobster, saw friends we missed, and went to the graduation!! From Maine, Andy and I drove with the kids to our new home of Bay Village, Ohio. I think we got here on the hottest, most humid day of the year. We had a wonderful turnout from people in the ward that helped us to move in, on a Sunday. We were all dripping in sweat by the end of the day. In our first week here we met the bunny family that lives in our back yard, two doves that I have named Caleb and Lauren, and what seems like every bird in the world. We have a nature show in our backyard almost every night. I think my most favorite creature we have here are the fireflies, they really are amazing.

Ohio has been wonderful to us so far. We have made some great friends already and have done so many fun things that are free and very family friendly. For example, the movie theatre here has free kids movies every Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The kids also love going to the nature center down the street to see the turtles, skunk, and deer to name a few. I can't wait to see what other fun things we will discover.

Our first visitors here was Andy's little sister Lauren and her husband Caleb. They were kind enough to drive our little car out from Utah. We had such a great visit with them. They were here for the fourth of July and it was great to go to the parade with them. Caleb is a wonderful artist as you can see from the face painting. We walked down the street and watched fireworks that night by the lake. Caleb and Lauren also bought Porter and Carlee their first pet. We now have Ben 10 and Tinkerbell beta fish. The kids love them and thanks to Andy they are still alive, we tend to forget to feed them sometimes.
So as you can see we have been very busy. It is different owning your home. We tend to spend our free time taking care of the house, mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, or going a-wall on a bush that your wife does not like (Andy went crazy with the weed whacker one night). All of these memories have been wonderful, but not as wonderful as our most recent home addition.

Sucked In

Well, I have finally been sucked into the blogging world. I have been surprised how many of our friends and family have blogs. We have been asked so many times by multiple people if we have a blog, it's as common of a question as what is your favorite color. Anyway, now that we have moved to Ohio we thought it would be appropriate to have a blog to update everyone at your own convenience. We hope everyone who takes the time to look at our blog will enjoy it and please be patient with us. Enjoy!!
