When is Dad going to be home.....

The other night I was making my bed and Tessa came down and wanted to lay with me, so I asked her to wait on the couch while I finished making my bed. When I was done I went to get her and this is what I found....







It had been a few days since the kids had seen Andy because he was getting home so late and leaving so early in the morning.

Rocket Wrestling....

Porter decided that he wanted to try out wrestling this year and of course Andy was all for it being that he wrestled in high school. At first I was very hesitant to let Porter do it, but he loved it. He had no idea what he was doing, but that is what it is all about right, learning and trying something new. We haven't been able to attend all of the meets because they are on Sunday's, but the coach set up some mock meets that we have gone to. I have also learned so much about the sport and have decided that I never gave Andy the full credit he deserved for being involved in such a hard sport. I really do enjoy watching it, it's very intense and scary.

Porter turns S-E-V-E-N......

I think that I was in complete denial about Porter turning seven, that is so old!! This was his family birthday year so we started the festivities off with a surprise trip to Chuck E Cheese. Andy asked me to take him out of school early and meet him there and not to tell the kids where we were going. As we pulled into the parking lot of Chuck E Cheese the kids were yelling and screaming with excitement, but then Carlee said "this would be so fun as a family if dad were here." Just then Andy walked up to the van and scared the kids. Porter was so excited to have Andy there, he gave him the biggest hug.









The next day Tessa and I made Porter a b-day cake, that was the only focus for the day. Porter went back and forth for months on what kind of cake he wanted and Tessa and I ended up making this for him...





To make the celebration offical we took Porter and his best friend JP and their family bowling. It was kids versus the parents. It was so fun, the kids were cheering each other on, high fiving, and jumping up and down, it was so cute, but very serious too. The most important thing is I beat everybody, yes, adults included. I guess my bowling league skills are still in tact.

After bowling we came back to our house and had cake and ice cream. Porter was so excited about his cake, what is it about the cake that makes a birthday?

Carlee's Gymnastics....

I think putting Carlee in gymnastics is the best things we have ever done. She loves it so much and they do so many fun things. Everyday she goes it is different, they do bars, rope swings, obstacle courses, giant parachute, balance beam, etc. It is so fun to watch her laugh and smile the whole time. Carlee is a girl who cannot sit still, she is always bouncing, dancing, or pointing her toes.


This is so hard for me to watch, I literally feel sick every time...

Marin's first try at food....

The first time we gave her the rice cereal it was hilarious. She would open her mouth just enough for Andy to get the spoon in, but then she would do this huge shiver thing, it was so sad and so funny at the same time. She seemed to be happy afterwards and ready to play. Now she is becoming pro with her cereal and we will be introducing carrots next.
