Andy and I took the kids skiing again and it was awesome! They have so much fun on the lifts, especially Porter and Carlee, they are seriously rock stars on the hill. Today was a big day for Marin because it was her first time on skis. She did good considering it was her first time, I think Andy about broke his back trying to hold her up, haha. I love Great Divide for the simple fact that 90% of the time that we go, we have the Backyard (which is the bunny hill) to ourselves. It has just been the perfect place for the kids to learn to ski!

Cache's first and other Utah fun….
We had a free weekend and decided to head south to SLC for the warmth, Cache's 1st birthday, but mainly to help Matthew and KayLee do some work around the house. We showed up just in time to be to Cache's party which was at D's house. He was such a cutie and so excited to eat his cake. And he was hilarious to watch open his presents, he definitely knew they were his and no one else's! The next day Andy and I got down to business and did some serious work around Matt and Kay's, many trips to the dump, DI, and to other people's houses. We were just non-stop, even the kids were helping, mainly Porter, he was a rock star carrying things up and down the stairs without complaint. Needless to say it was a very long day. We had enough of the work, so the next day we took the kids to the zoo! It was such a beautiful day and hot!! I had to go to Children's place and get the kids some shorts etc., because we were not expecting that for a visit this time of year! The next day we worked some more and then took this kids to the rec center to swim. They have an awesome slide there that even Marin could do if she rode down with Andy on his lap. Overall it was a fine trip down. It is always good to see everyone and I was so happy we were able to help Andy's parents. It's so nice that we live so close and are able to drive down at a moments notice when we are needed.

It's official….
Our friends, Micah and Nichole have officially adopted their little girl!! It is so crazy how long the whole process has taken, Anna is now three and they have had her since she was a baby, but the time has come for them that the papers have all been signed and that is that. It was cool to be in the courtroom when the judge made the ruling, and it only takes about 2 min, but it is still so special! Anna is the cutest little girl and their family is now perfect.

Ice cream sculpting….
Tonight I had Young Women's and one of the things the girls have wanted to do was ice cream sculpting. I had never heard of this before but thought it could be interesting so we went for it. The girls all did their best to make random things and when they were done we voted on who's was the most interesting and then of course we ate some ice cream! After we had treats we watched Frozen. The girls were so cute about the movie, I didn't realize that even these teenage girls would love the movie so much. It was fun to hear them sing and giggle together. I love the young women and I am grateful for the time I get to spend with them, they really are so fun and so special.

Derby….
It is that time of year again, Derby time!!!! This year we said we wouldn't wait for the last minute to make the cars, but yeah, that didn't happen, we were just so busy, but it wasn't as last minute as last year, haha. Porter has decided early on that he wanted a shark car, and then the girls just wanted something with bright colors and then some sort of toy glued on. I think Porter's shark turned out pretty awesome and he did a great job of painting on the gills. The derby is always fun to go to, it's a great activity and exciting. It's is cool to see all of the cars that have been created, some people go all out! I think some of our cars won once or twice, but we didn't blow anyone away like last year, it was still exciting. Gramps also came and was one of the judges, he ended up using his phone to record the races because they were close in the end it was so hard to see who the winner was. In the end Porter came home with a trophy for best paint job.

Love my girls….
I still don't know how I ended up being the mom of three cutest girls, but I did and I am. I really am lucky because they are so fun and as they get older more and more of their personalities are showing and they are becoming more fun! The other night I took them out for ice cream at a fun frozen yogurt place here called the frozen moose. Sitting there with the three of them I had a moment where I paused and looked at them and wondered what this will be like in 10 years, where will be be, who will they be, what will be happening in their little worlds. Sometimes they drive me crazy, but mostly I just love them and their sweetness. Cheers to the future.

BFF's….
Marin is so lucky to have her best friend live right across the street. She truly loves Jessie so much and they really just can't get enough of each other. And they really are the cutest. I am pretty sure they have their own language and could one day own and successfully run their own circus.

Sweet and sour….
My Tessa May is the cutest girl ever. She loves to be fancy as much as possible which includes having cute hair. Today she wanted to have "Jessie hair" which means really high pig tails with a braid. I have to admit it looked super cute on Tessa and she felt super cute too. She kills me with her ability to make faces, she is just like her Dad. Love that sweet girl.

Cheer pics….
Carlee and the other Mustangs had cheer pictures yesterday. All of the girls looked so cute with their hair and makeup all done up. The big bow is something that when we first started I didn't fully understand, but now I really like it and think it looks cute. Carlee was totally cracking me up with her single pose and how she wanted to do a scorpion, but hey it worked, and she is awesome for trying! So here she is with the team and here are some on her own. These are not the professional ones, I was just standing behind the photographer.

Sharing some nerds….
Marin loves candy soooo much, but I can safely say that she loves her Daddy more. But…..when you have candy and a Daddy, it is heaven for her!! I just couldn't resist taking pics of Andy and Marin sharing a bowl of nerds, it was very serious business and oh so cute.
